It all begins with an idea. Life is funny, isn’t it? If you’d told me years ago that I’d be writing a blog on my very own website, I probably would have laughed. Yet here I am—sharing my thoughts, stories, and passion for nutrition, gardening, and balanced living with all of you.

Hi there, and welcome to my blog! I’m Brannon Blount, MS, RDN, and I’m so glad you’re here.

Life is funny, isn’t it? If you’d told me years ago that I’d be writing a blog on my very own website, I probably would have laughed. My life is crazy busy—like so many of yours—so the idea of carving out time to share my thoughts here seemed nearly impossible. Yet here I am, and I’m so excited to share my journey with you.

I grew up gardening and canning alongside my dad and grandfather, learning to love fresh produce straight from the earth. Whether it was juicy tomatoes or jars of homemade green beans, those early experiences taught me that food is meant to be simple, wholesome, and something we truly enjoy.

As I got older, I saw how confusing the world of nutrition could be, especially with the endless cycle of fad diets promising quick fixes. Growing up, I experienced firsthand how negative and complicated our relationships with food could become. That frustration is one of the reasons I became a dietitian—I wanted to uncover the truth about nutrition.

What I’ve learned after years of studying and working with clients is this: “it all depends.” Nutrition isn’t one-size-fits-all because we’re all unique. We each have our own bodies, health conditions, and lifestyles, and that’s exactly why so many fad diets fail. Instead, achieving real change requires finding a balance that works for you.

And let me tell you—I get it! Between my full-time job as a dietitian, my passion for gardening, floral arranging, and my love for my two dogs (who keep me on my toes), life is busy. It’s messy, nonstop, and full of surprises. That’s why I’ve made it a mission to create balance in my own life—because even in the chaos, I know it’s possible.

Here on this blog, I’ll share tips, tricks, and insights to help you achieve balance too—whether it’s through nutritious recipes, simple gardening ideas, or small lifestyle changes that make a big difference. You don’t have to overhaul your life to feel your best, and I’m here to help you find the joy in keeping it simple and sustainable.
